If you love using film simulations on your Fujifilm cameras, you’ll love this community-sourced list of settings for many popular films.
I think it’s easy to say that one of Fujifilm’s most beloved features is the film simulations in their cameras. For a long time now, we’ve been able to select Acros, Classic Chrome, Velvia, and more very easily. These film sims are great, but have you ever wished for more? We’re betting your answer is yes. Well, now, you’re in luck. Photographer Triregno David, who shoots with an X-Pro 3, has put together a list of custom settings from many contributors for Fujifilm cameras. This list makes it so that classic films like Kodachrome, Ilford, Kodak Tri-X, and many others can be enjoyed by the masses on their Fujifilm cameras. Head on past the break for more details.

At the time of writing, 23 photographers have submitted over 200 submissions to the custom settings list for Fujifilm cameras. The last big update to the list saw 37 new simulations enter the fold. However, more are being added all the time. You can access the massive spreadsheet via this link.
There Are Big Plans for This List

The community has big plans for the growing list, though. The plan is to make the huge list of settings smartphone-friendly so that you can have quick access to these unofficial film simulations while you’re on the go. Along with the spreadsheet, there’s also a very handy graphical version of the settings for the more popular simulations, which are colorful and easy to read. You can access the eye-pleasing cards here.

It’s easy to see this project has been a labor of love. In fact, all the artwork has been handmade by Triregno David. Still, not all of these simulations will work on all Fujifilm cameras. There are quite a few listings that use Acros as a base. The Acros simulation is only available on Fujifilm cameras with an X-Trans sensor. If you use cameras like the X-T200, you’re going to be out of luck with a few of these. Still, there’s plenty to play around with. For those who use the X-T3, X-T4, X -Pro 2, X-Pro 3, the X-T30, and so on, you can use all the settings.
Are You Going to Try Them on Your Fujifilm Cameras?

We think it’s absolutely brilliant when photography communities come together to create things for the greater good. Photography is all about having fun and experimenting.
