Feature-packed PaintShop Pro 2019 could be the next best option for those considering a cheaper alternative to Adobe Photoshop.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard about PaintShop Pro, given all the other more popular Photoshop and Lightroom alternatives out there. The photo editing suite has recently been updated with a number of advanced features and tools geared towards budget-conscious photographers and content creators. If you’re still looking for an alternative image editing software to try, PaintShop Pro 2019 could very well be worth checking out.
There are three interesting new features that PaintShop Pro 2019 comes with to bring creatives “beyond the photo.” AI-Powered Pic-to-Painting allows you to craft your masterpieces with the help of “Deep Neural Networks that analyze your photos and transform it into a work of art” done in the style of iconic artists. The 360° Camera Support enables you to edit any photo taken using a 360° camera, including creating a cool “tiny planet” effect. There’s also a Creative Content Collection that boasts of 10 brushes, 10 color palettes, 10 gradients, 10 patterns, and 20+ picture tubes (all new) to help jump-start your creative process and get your projects going.
Aside from the new features, PaintShop Pro 2019 also comes with a number of performance improvements such as enhanced Most-Used Actions and improved Hardware Support to streamline workflows. There are also some 50+ updates applied to specific performance and feature improvements requested by the PaintShop Pro users.
But, that’s not all. Those who opt for the more comprehensive PaintShop Pro 2019 Ultimate will get some bonus add-ons which may be useful for photography and photography-derived projects. AfterShot 3 offers professional-grade, non-destructive photo editing for RAW workflows, designed for working through large photo collections. The intelligent image analysis of Perfectly Clear 3.5 uses a one-click image correction technology that takes care of camera flaws and limitations for you.
For digital artists, there’s also the intriguing PhotoMirage Express, which promises to let you transform any image into an awe-inspiring animation, and the Painter Essentials 6, which allows you to easily turn any photo into artworks done in oil, pastel, and watercolor styles. Completing the add-ons is the Corel Creative Collection, which provides you with loads of brushes, textures, and royalty-free backgrounds to play around with.
Even further still, Corel seemed to be keen on covering all bases by also creating the Corel Photo Video Bundle, which combines the new PaintShop Pro 2019 and VideoStudio Pro 2018 to equip digital content creators with a complete photo, design, and video editing suite.
