Photography has two sides to it: capturing and creating. Some photographers lean in one direction over the other while others balance the two. The Phoblographer, Madavor Media and Adorama TV invite you to join Chris Gampat as he speaks with established professional photographers and up-and-comers alike from various backgrounds and explains their thought processes behind their images while connecting the technical and artistic sides of their brain in the creative process.

Inside The Photographer’s Mind is a webcast in front of a live Adorama Event Space audience that delves into how and why photographers create their photos. It is hosted by The Phoblographer’s Chris Gampat, who has had years of interviewing experience being on both sides of the photo desk. The show features photographers with interesting portfolios of work who are established in the creative and social world of photography. Inside the Photographer’s Mind will be broadcast live on Adorama TV and available for viewers to tune in later on as well.

Our next guest is Charlie Naebeck. Charlie Naebeck is a photographer/artist residing in New York City. In having strong support from both sides of his family while growing up in photography and drawing, he attended the University of Michigan for a BFA specializing in photography and illustration. With a strong interest in the darkroom process, he then studied advanced film and drawing at SACI in Florence, Italy. We’ve interviewed him a few times as well.

Naebeck teaches photography courses and private lessons in photography at Photo Manhattan in New York City.

EDUCATION: Chris graduated Magna Cum Laude from Adelphi University with a degree in Communications in Journalism in 2009. Since then, he's learned and adapted to various things in the fields of social media, SEO, app development, e-commerce development, HTML, etc. FAVORITE SUBJECT TO PHOTOGRAPH: Chris enjoys creating conceptual work that makes people stare at his photos. But he doesn't get to do much of this because of the high demand of photography content. / BEST PHOTOGRAPHY TIP: Don't do it in post-production when you can do it in-camera.
