Nissin’s new Air10s Wireless Flash Commander is now available for Canon and Nikon systems.
Nissin Japan Limited, through its North American distributor New England Imaging Dist. (NEID), has recently launched the new Air10s Wireless TTL flash commander in the US market. Photographers can now get this advanced Nissin Air System (NAS) 2.4Ghz flash commander for their Canon and Nikon systems. Availability for Fujifilm, Sony, and Micro Four Thirds systems is set for Spring 2018. The new NAS flash commander has a simple and clear dial layout with color LCD display, and is compatible with NAS-ready flashes (i60A and Di700A) and the Air R receiver. With it, users can quickly and easily control a sizable flash setup from dark indoor studios to bright outdoor settings.
The new Air10s is lightweight at only 2.5 oz. without batteries. It can also be easily updated through a Micro SD slot. Nissin plans to include the Micro SD slot feature on all its future flashes and commanders.
Compared to previous models, the new Air10s also allows for an extended range, with a maximum distance of 109 yards. Its TTL Mode and high-speed sync (FP sync) supports other functionalities, such as rear curtain and high-speed shutter speeds of up to 1/8000. For TTL and manual modes, minor adjustments can be made with just 1/3 EV steps. It also allows the lowest power adjustment down to 1/256 when used in manual mode. There’s also a “TTL Memory Function” which saves the exposure when used in TTL Mode and allows for a one-touch switch to manual mode.
Convenience is also key with this new NAS flash commander. Nissin’s open mode also eliminates the need to re-pair devices, as multiple Air10s units can pair with the same flash group even when cameras are switched. Users can also take advantage of a crossover control to fully operate different versions NAS flashes. According to Nissin, this means photographers can use their Sony Mount Air10s with other NAS flashes (i60A and Di700A) equipped on their Canon or Nikon systems.
The new Air10s Wireless TTL flash commander for Canon and Nikon systems is now available in the US for $199.99. Visit www.nissinflashesusa.com for more information on the Air10s and other Nissin digital products.
