Today, Sony Asia Pacific announced a new addition to its memory cards to meet the growing needs of professional photographers and videographers. The new G Series CFast memory cards boast of up to 510 MB/s write speed and up to 530 MB/s read speed, meant to meet the increasing capabilities of high-end DSLRs and broadcast cameras.
As industry standards and requirements continue to grow, Sony’s responds by providing professional photographers and videographers with a faster write speed that outperforms other existing CFast cards. This should come in handy for shooting high resolution photos like RAW in burst mode, promising maximized capabilities for top-of-the-line cameras such as the Canon 1DX Mark 2.
The new CFast memory cards also promise to be valuable for videographers who need reliable and stable recording of Cinema-grade or high-bitrate 4K videos. With its VPG130 support, Sony guarantees a minimum sustained write speed of 130 MB/s with the G Series.
If you’re a professional photographer or videographer who often takes on demanding projects that involve tight deadlines, Sony’s new memory card promises to help streamline your workflow. The ultra fast 530 MB/s read speed of the G Series CFast memory cards will come in handy for quickly transferring RAW files and video recordings to a computer while you’re on assignment.
Do you often work in unforgiving locations with tough conditions? Sony says that their new memory cards are highly resistant to static and will work reliably across a wide range of temperatures. In case you accidentally delete your precious files, ther’s a Sony File Rescue included so you can continue working with confidence.
