Bergger is probably not a name that rings any bells for you, but if you are a film shooter or even just a fan of film photography then it is a company you should become familiar with. The French company has engineered and developed a brand new black and white film: yes you read that correctly, a brand new black and white film – Pancro400.
Pancro400 is a grain film, featuring panchromatic emulsions based on silver-bromide and silver-iodide. This results in a look that features a thin grain, wide dynamic range, and strong acutance.

The new Pancro400 will be available in both 35mm and 120 film, as well as larger sheet film for large format shooters. There is not yet any pricing announced, but interested photographers can get more info over on the Bergger website, here.
