Red Bull Illume Announces New Photo Contest for US Mobile Phone Photographers

Today, Red Bull is announcing a brand new contest for their famous Illume contest. For the first time, they’re holding one specifically for smartphone camera users. The contest is giving those that use their phones extensively a chance to have their images join the Red Bull Illume Exhibit Tour as it makes its way across the US. The winner’s photo will be displayed on a special light box that will travel around the US in the tour.

Submissions are open today and end August 14th, 2016. When the submissions are closed, a number of judges will choose their favorite images.

The Red Bull Illume ceremony will take place on September 28, 2016 at The Art Institute of Chicago, and at that ceremony the Top 55 finalists, 11 Category Winners, and one Overall Winner will be announced. The images will be displayed at Millennium Park on custom 6.4 w x 6.9 h ft. light boxes for the very first stop of the 2016 Red Bull Illume Exhibit Tour.
