Panasonic announced the CM1 a while back–you know, that cameraphone with a 20.1MP 1-inch sensor, a 28mm f2.8 equivalent lens and that runs Android? They recently decided to release the same camera, but without the phone built into it. Instead, it’s just a camera with an Android interface (Lollipop 5.0) and LTE capabilities.
That’s pretty much it, honestly. Otherwise, it still sports a 4.7 inch LCD screen, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 2600mAh battery, 2GB RAM inside, 16GB internal storage and a Micro SD card slot. Of course, the camera also has full manual capabilities.
If you manage to shell out the $850 for one, then just think of it like being back in the days when folks carried around two phones.
