Tim Flach’s Images of an Unborn Horse Are Hauntingly Beautiful

It’s rare to be able to see photos of anything inside the womb, but photographer Tim Flach was able to do that with an animal that mankind has held very close to us for years: a horse. These photos show a still unborn horse turning into something much more similar to what we’d see out of the womb–though the images here make it look almost like an ethereal unicorn fetus waiting to come out into the world and take revenge on the creators of the game Robot Unicorn.

In all seriousness though, it’s almost as if the horse knew it had to pose for photos.

Other images are after the jump. we tried to ask Tim about how he created the photos, but he’s a bit too tied up to get back to us in detail at the moment.
