I really never thought that I’d see the day that this happened, but indeed: it did! A recent Kickstarter called Muku Shuttr launched and was funded in three days. It’s for a peripheral that lets you trigger your phone’s camera wirelessly via a remote–and it works with both iOS devices and certain Android devices.
The Muku Shuttr requires you to pair the two up just once, and will allow you to take a photo from 30 feet away without any line of sight. However, it works via Bluetooth, and most devices work up to 15 feet away.
The company is also stating that you don’t need an app to make this work at all: pretty cool, huh?
