Sony Alpha Rumors picked up on a new patent involving the detailed structuring of pixels. Typically up to this point, the structures have been all about the RGB structures. But this new patent shows RGBCMY. This could mean more color depth and a difference in how noise is processed at the color levels.
The Admin of SAR doubts that it will ever see life in a camera, but the fact is that companies are going to have to keep innovating and changing their sensors to outdo one another.
