Leica has been known to put out special editions of cameras often throughout the lifespan of a product. So even though the company’s collaboration with G-Star RAW makes sense, it might still make you want to roll your eyes.
But in other ways, G-Star RAW has actually helped to make the camera better.
We reviewed the smooth bodied D-LUX 6 a while ago. One of my personal problems with the camera is the fact that the body needs some sort of textured grippy material. Thankfully, G-Star RAW has added that–so it won’t slip out of your fingers.
The camera also comes with a brown leather bag, a hand strap and a shoulder strap. But if you want to get your hands on one, you’ll need to pony up around $1,325. All that for a small sensor point and shoot camera…
