87 Year Old War Veteran Has A Portrait of His Younger Self Restored by Reddit

Reddit has been known to do some wonderful things and to generally look out for one another in their community. So when user stevieboy1984 asked the users of r/picrequests to help him restore an image of his grandfather at his request, the users got to it. The old timer is a war veteran, and is surely proud of his days during that time. 4Chan has been known to do similar things and usually the edits go from one user to another as improvements are made. User unhi was the one whose work was chosen and given to the vet. In the video below, you’ll see that Steve printed out many versions of the edit to show the progress. He then videotaped his grandfather’s reaction to show to the community–and to say the least the hardened old man was very pleased. The video is after the jump.
