Long Term Review: Canon 24-105mm F4 L IS Lens
Every photographer has a go-to lens that helps them to accomplish their daily tasks. What’s yours? Mine was (and in some ways still is) the Canon 24-105mm F/4 L IS. It has been by my side through paparazzo work, weddings, portraits, events, sports, and it has even been my casual walkaround lens. Used on the many cameras that have passed through my hands during reviews, it has been a mainstay on either my Canon 7D or 5D Mk II: always remaining ready to be used in an instant.
This long term review will cover the two years I’ve spent using this lens and will summarize the faults and strengths of this beloved piece of plastic with the heart of glass.
Field Review: Canon T3i (Day 5)
We’ve tested the Canon T3i in shooting portraits, then night street photography scenes, in Day 1, we gave some first impressions of the Canon T3i and we also did a quick video test. We tested the camera’s creative filters, and now we give our verdict on the battery life and on the camera’s performance in non-stop use.

Review: Impact Strobros Beauty Dish
The Impact Strobros Beauty Dish is a bit of a weird item, but it’s still very useful for what it does. Primarily used in portraiture, beauty dishes mimic the look of a softbox. Field Review: Canon T3i (Day 4)
So in Day 3, readers thought that the image quality of the Canon T3i was stellar. However, I thought it could have been better. In Day 1, we gave some first impressions of the Canon T3i and we also did a quick video test. The other day, I did a quick impromptu portrait session with my friend Mike. The results are some serious fun that don’t use the camera’s creative filters, but those in Lightroom 3.

Field Review: Canon T3i (Day 3)
The day I shot the images in this story is the day that Adobe released the update to allow Lightroom 3 to edit images from the Canon T3i. In Day 1, we gave some first impressions of the Canon T3i and we also did a quick video test. When I first got the unit, the RAW file support wasn’t released yet. The good news: I shot these with the very good Canon 35mm F/1.4 L: perhaps my favorite lens and on our list of recommended glass. While doing this, I never went above ISO 1600. But it’s not all wonderful.

Field Review: Canon T3i (Day 2)
In Day 1, we gave some first impressions of the Canon T3i and we also did a quick video test. When I first got the unit, the RAW file support wasn’t released yet. With that said, I decided to test out the creative filters in the camera, which, to be quite honest, are a bit underwhelming.
