Mom Teaches Daughter Just How Many People Can See an Image on The Web

While many folks that grew up in an earlier stage of the internet were warned about the perils of chatroom kidnappings and to overall be more cautious about the type of stuff that you post online, younger generations aren’t always as cautious. And so to demonstrate this to her daughter, Kira Hudson had her daughter Amia hold the sign in the photo then posted the photo to Facebook.

The sign, which says “Mom is trying to show me how many people can see a picture once it’s on the Internet” gained tons of traction over the next 48 hours it got over 1,000,000 likes and tons of traction–therefore teaching her daughter something very valuable. Hopefully, it also taught her to act responsibly on the internet–or at least what happened next must have.

4Chan got a hold of the images and created their own mocking perversions which then turned it into a meme.

And the moral of the story: be a hermit on the web.
