Toshiba today announced new SDHC memory cards in their Exceria Pro series, which the company claims will sport the world’s fastest writing speeds. The UHS-II compliant memory cards will boast writing speeds of up to 240 MB/s, with reading speeds of up to 260 MB/s. These kinds of speeds are relevant to both videographers and photographers that need to save large amounts of data in a very short time. The cards are coming in sizes of 16 and 32 GB and will hit Japanese markets first in October, and will come to Europe shortly thereafter. The press release doesn’t state release dates for other markets. The retail price of the cards also have not been announced yet.
