Field Review (Last Day)- Leica D-LUX 4

After spending some quality time with the Leica D-LUX 4, it is now time to say good-bye to the camera that stood by me for the past week or so. During my last day of shooting, I used it in a party/bar type atmosphere as well as on the streets documenting real life. Additionally, my experience with the Hasselblad H4D-40 was documented with this camera. So without further hesitation, I now conclude the field review and elaborate on my final experiences.

Field Review (Day 5)- Leica D-Lux 4

As the Leica D-Lux 4 field review continues, I explored the High ISO settings last night. This little camera delivered some results that pleased me and that also made me gawk at the images on screen. It’s really up to you and your own judgement. As a point-and-shoot with a larger sensor, we can’t expect it to have 5D Mk II type image quality but some of the images that come out will still be very usable, especially with use on Flickr. The images here have been resized specifically to be with Flickr’s Large setting. More analysis after the jump.

Field Review (Day 1): Leica D-LUX 4

Despite the fact that it has been out for a while now, the Leica D-LUX 4 is one of the point-and-shoots that I’ve always felt deserved some attention.Like its more economical sibling the Panasonic LX-3, it is a premium point-and-shoot that is meant for enthusiasts, pros that want a nice compact camera, and people that want better images and aren’t afraid to work a little bit for them. On December 11th 2009, Leica announced a firmware update for the camera. The update in lots pictures after the jump.
