We are always in search of the perfect camera. We read reviews, we watch videos, we drool over spec sheets, and we marvel at all the things that modern cameras can do. Eye autofocus is one of the killer tricks up the sleeves of many Mirrorless cameras, but just how big of a difference is there in performance between brands?

Earlier on this week during a keynote in California, Sony showed off their new eye autofocus and tracking systems that will be available in a few of their Mirrorless cameras.The new eye autofocusing system will be made available via a firmware update to the Sony a9, A7 III, and the Sony A7r III, while the a6400 will launch with both of the new systems already in place this February. Comparing the Dynamic Range of the Sony A7 III, Canon EOS R, Fujifilm XT-3, and Nkon Z7

Let’s see how the current flagship mirrorless cameras stack up against one another in terms of dynamic range.

In the future, when we look back on 2018, we will remember it as the year the photography industry moved full steam into the mirrorless world. Never before have so many compelling mirrorless camera options been available on the market at the same time. The Sony A7III was the first, announced back in February of this year at WPPI, and it was followed by the Nikon Z7, Canon EOS R, and the Fujifilm XT-3 being announced within days of each other that summer. Photographer Michael Andrew recently did a comparison of the dynamic range between these four mirrorless cameras in his latest video, which you can view after the jump.
