The new Sony A1 seems like a serious camera for the pros who need it!

I was waiting for a day like this. For a long time, I never thought that companies could make a 50MP camera that can shoot at 30 fps. But the new Sony a1 is smashing that idea. Today the company announced the majorly innovative camera. In many ways, it’s a response to the Canon EOS R5 that blew us away last year. There’s a 50 Megapixel full frame sensor. It can shoot 8k video at 30p. It can shoot 50 megapixel images at 30 frames a second. More details are below.

As if the 42.4MP full frame sensor in the Sony A7r Mk II wasn’t enough for you, Sony Alpha Rumors is stating that a brand new sensor may be on the way. Said camera is reported to have more megapixels and may even have the most of any 35mm full frame camera at its release.

In many ways, it makes a lot of sense–but I doubt that it will be a sensor comes to a mirrorless camera, at least initially.

With the very recent announcement of the Canon 5Ds and Canon 5Ds R, the industry has taken a huge step forward. A camera with a sensor that can shoot over 50MP images in the 35mm format is changing the game completely. But with that, we’re always wondering about lenses. A while ago, we asked Lens manufacturers about how lens technology will be able to keep up with sensor technology.

But to find out what lenses could potentially work with such a high megapixel sensor, we did some research and asking around. As we get more information, we will try to update this list.
