Hey folks,
We’ve been in Austin with Sony for the past couple of days, testing out all their newest cameras. Our Sony a99 II and Sony RX100 V first impressions have both been updated and hyperlinked accordingly. Below the jump, you can find a number of our sample images from the Sony a6500.
So far, I have to say that the Sony a99 II is an absolute beast when it comes to autofocusing, and if Sony can update their Alpha to E mount adapter, it will give lots of cameras some killer autofocus capabilities too. The a6500 can’t really keep up when it comes to sports though. It’s a good camera, but I think we need to spend more time with it to understand who it’s really for. I don’t think it’s sports oriented, but I surely do think it’s photojournalism oriented.
Please note that these are JPEG samples. RAW isn’t supported yet.
