NYC is currently going through what is known as the Polar Vortex. And according to Gothamist, lots of people are taking photos and showing just how enchanting the snow is while complaining about having to work in it. We pooled the Library of Congress’s archives and found a couple of images where the snow also seemed to have come down super hard.

Just remember: our ancestors had to deal with blizzards and snow storms too.
