Street photographers have pretty great DSLRs that they can work with. While one can look at any offering, this model from Nikon is perhaps the best in every way. Nikon has created some truly amazing DSLRs, but it was until towards the end that they launched a model that meets varying needs in one body. Have a look.
The Nikon D850 was truly ahead of its time. It offers a 45MP full frame sensor, the ability to browse through multiple F-mount lenses, and it is priced relatively lower than most mirrorless cameras today. You get an optical viewfinder, which is the best on any DSLRs. There is also an exceptional body with a big grip, a nice weather-sealed body, and a chance to shoot 4K videos.

Sure, it is a beefy model, but the DSLRs were designed like that. It just came a bit later than most cameras, as the mirrorless scene was just evolving. Then you have a fantastic autofocus system in its place in the D850. Since it was designed to shoot sports, the camera can easily track people. If you are looking for a DSLR that costs less than $1500 but gives you a quick performance, then this one is for you.
If you consider yourself to be a photographer, and your production output also mirrors that of someone who primarily shoots stills, the Nikon D850 is perhaps still the single best DSLR that you can get. But more importantly, I think that this camera still holds its own with the Nikon Z8 and the Nikon Z9. While we should all praise the innovations and risks Nikon took with these cameras by removing the shutter and giving us so much quality at a smaller price tag than competitors, it also shows a lot of how photography hasn’t progressed in a decade.
The image quality is another reason why you get the Nikon DSLR. It has a high megapixel range, and thus, the images are very detailed. The RAW files are versatile, and you can easily recover the dynamic range and play with color channels to get the best result. Lightroom can do a good job when it comes to editing, and one of the reasons being the camera was tested a while back. The square crop is fun and that means you get the best results in compositions too. The high ISO results are usable up to ISO 12,800, and it is indeed very good. One can even make 11×17 inch prints without any problem.
Overall, the Nikon DSLR is perfect for street photographers who want a quick camera with plenty of lens options. It is sturdy, offers nice colors and one can get a distinct look with their images.
