When it comes to selecting a good camera, you have to ensure it ticks a few boxes. For instance, a nice sensor, a good build quality, fast autofocus, and a perfect battery life. There are also some wonderful lenses that one has to think about. If you are someone who is particularly looking for a good battery, then here are some options you will like.
Canon R6 III
The Canon R6 III is the latest camera from the series that is earning good praise. The camera offers a 32MP sensor, a 1.62 million-dot LCD, and electronic shutter up to 1/16,000 seconds. Although there is no IP rating, Canon states the camera has weather sealing, making it dust and drip-resistant. The battery life is great at 620 shots. As we added in our review, “The camera handled the harsh conditions with no fuss, and I never noticed any performance degradation. It is important to note that the battery in our test unit was brand new, and, as expected, it handled the dip in temperature without affecting its overall battery life. That said, you may find that your performance varies as the battery ages and accumulates more charge cycles.”
Canon R1
The Canon R1 is another camera designed for sports photographers. The 24MP sensor device has a shutter cycle of 500,000, 9.44-million-dots viewfinder, and seals across various parts of the camera. The R1 is light, is made of metal, and has good button placement across the body. The R1 works on LP-E19, which has a capacity of 2750 mAh. As a result, the battery can last long, and it delivers incredibly pleasing colors. The focus is a challenge, since it can’t focus on people of color. So, that is a drawback you need to think about. As for the images, the RAW files can pull a lot of details.
Canon R3
The Canon R3 is a low-light magician. It has a 24MP sensor, a 5.76M-dot ‘blackout-free’ HDR EVF, and it can produce 4K footage from a 6K area of the sensor. There is 8-stop image stabilization, a 4,150,000 LCD, and a battery life of 760 shots per charge. There is battery grip, and it offers one the chance to shoot as many images as they can. It is also weather sealed, has good AF capabilities, and has great low-light features. Over the years, the upgrades have not really made the camera better, so one has to think about it before they invest in it.
