Canon has introduced some wonderful cameras over the years. The company has fantastic DSLRs, compact cameras, and APS-C offerings, depending on your needs. Today, we take a peak at the cameras that are ideal for those willing to slow down.
Canon Powershot G1 X
The G1X is a compact camera with a 1.5-inch 14MP sensor and a 28-112mm lens. The image quality is pretty amazing, and the zoom lens is very quick to zoom. The color reproduction is great, and the contrast is excellent. Similarly, the high ISO performance is good for a camera of this nature. As we added, “I was able to get consistently usable images from ISO 3200, with even some from ISO 6400.” With image stabilization in the lens, you can shoot at slower shutter speeds. The design is fantastic, it has a nice rounded rectangular grip and excellent weight and build quality.
Canon 1D Mk IV
The Canon 1DX series has changed the way photographers shoot fast-paced subjects. The 1DX Mark IV is one such device with blazing fast speed, and is one of the highest-end cameras. The image quality is fantastic, giving you enough detail and great High ISO ability. The high ISO images look good, and RAW files retain more details too. The build is beautiful, and the joystick makes life easy. If you are looking for a camera that gives fantastic photos, this one is it.
Canon G11
The Canon G11 is a 2010 camera that offers a fast autofocus for a point and shoot. This was the case back then, and perhaps, photographers today may not find it to be the same. However, it did a good job of tracking moving objects and the image quality is pretty perfect. Since it has a CCD sensor, a flash helps to bring out the colors, especially when shooting RAW files. Even the high ISO results are quite fantastic for a camera of this nature. The design is pretty satisfactory, and the button layout makes it easy to work around it. Canon 7D
Launched in 2010, the Canon 7D offers an 18MP resolution and DIGIC 4 image processor. In some ways, this is the answer to Nikon D300s, and it is designed to come with a wireless flash control. However, the 7D can deliver some fantastic images, especially when used with an L series lens. It is a camera that young photographers can practice on, and the sturdy build makes it easy to carry it around. As we added, “Event photographers, wedding photographers, photojournalists, sports photographers, concert photographers and celebrity photographers will all find a great package in the 7D.”
Canon 5D Mk IV
The Canon 5D Mk IV is a full frame camera with a 30MP sensor. It is one of the best DSLRs from Canon, featuring a weather-resistant build, rugged body, and a wide range of lenses. The autofocus is flawless, it is fast, and can work even in low light. As for the images, they are colorful, the dynamic range is great, and one can retain details very well. The high ISO results add to the appeal of the camera.
