Canon has some lenses that are perfect for photographers who work across genres. The company has made models that work not just for landscape users but also for those who are keen on shooting portraits and events. If you are someone who is looking for one such lens, then this option from Canon might just be it.
The lens in question is the Canon RF 24-105mm f4, designed with 18 elements in 14 groups, a close focusing distance of 0.45m, and weighs just 700g.
The Canon RF 24-105mm f4L is a lovely lens, featuring a fast autofocus. The lens offers weather resistance, and can work really well in any situation. The face detection is lovely, and the lens is reliable in most situations.
The other reason this works the best is the image quality. The 24-105mm f4L features fantastic sharpness, has no distortion, and the lens works well in many situations. Unlike Sony lenses, the Canon version does not make the pores stand out. In fact, like the other previous lens, “you don’t have to worry about needing a front filter.” The RF 24-105mm f4L offers a fantastic bokeh, especially towards the telephoto end. I really enjoy the color rendition that the Canon RF 24-105mm f4 L IS USM can give off when paired with the Canon EOS R. But for what it’s worth, I like the 50mm f1.2 R much more. It’s nice. It’s less saturated than Sony’s and has that pop that Fujifilm tends to give off at times.
The Canon lens also has a lovely design, which makes it perfect for everyday use. It has a lock switch, and there is an IS switch to help stabilize the lens. You also get an autofocus lens, all of which are placed closed by on the barrel. The zoom lens extends outwards, but other than that, it is the perfect lens to use.
The lens is convenient, the price point is not really high, and it is perfect for photographers from around the world. If you travel a lot, and have a full frame like the Canon R or the R6 II, you have the best set to work with. As you can see from our images, the Canon lens can do a good job in any light. For some, this can also be a reliable second lens, if you have been working with prime lenses.
