Interchangeable lens cameras are plenty. From Fujifilm to Nikon, each brand offers something unique in terms of performance, technology or design. Today, we take a look at models that were introduced a decade ago and how they still hold up today. Have a look.
Canon 5D Mk IV
The Canon 5D Mk IV is the last great DSLR in many ways. The device houses a 30MP camera, a DIGIC 6+ processor, and a nice grip. The camera is weather sealed, has multiple buttons, and the autofocus is quite flawless. However, to get that, you will have to calibrate the 5D Mk IV. In extremely low light situations, the device offers spectacular results. As for the images, you get amazing dynamic range, lots of details, and good high ISO results. Since it has the same sensor as EOS R, you get a deal of the day.
Sony A6500

The Sony a6500 is an APS-C camera with a 24.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor, a 921.6k-Dot LCD, and a 2.36m-Dot EVF. The device is small, lightweight, and has moisture and dust resistance. The device’s focus is quick, works well with primes but slows down with zooms. The images are great right out of the camera, and you can recover details in the shadows and highlights. “The a6500 has high ISO output that is much cleaner than its predecessor,” we added.
Nikon D500

The Nikon D500 houses a 20MP APS-C camera, a well-placed thumb joystick, and a sturdy build to withstand any weather. The cameras are perfect for street and wildlife photography, for this reason. In addition to blazing autofocus, you get fantastic JPEG. The colors are vivid, and the RAW files can recover images with ease. If that is not enough, you get a long battery life, making it perfect for various genres.
Sony a99 II
The a99 II is a DSLR camera that has a high sensor of 42MP. It has some nice buttons, controls, and a good LCD, amongst other things. The autofocus is quite quick, making the model different than others. Speaking about it, we said: “Canon and Nikon are no slouches either, but the tracking AF on Sony is faster and more accurate.” The images offer nice colors, a good dynamic range, and the RAW files are amazing. The Sony DSLR is ideal for many young users wanting a full frame offering, but without spending a lot of money.
Fujifilm X Pro 2

The Fujifilm X Pro 2 is a APS-C camera with a 24MP sensor, an OVF and an EVF, and a nice build. The camera has a pronounced grip, is weather sealed, and are designed with simple buttons. The X Pro 2 is designed for professionals and so the autofocus is pretty good. As we said in our review, “In very low lighting of a pretty dark bar in Williamsburg, the camera never missed a shot of its own accord.” The photos are incredibly good, and the high ISO is perfect at up to 12,800. And with the RAW files, you can recover details with ease. It is a camera that continues to be a favorite of many photographers.
Olympus Pen F
The Olympus Pen F is a lovely retro-looking camera that is now a cult status. It comes with a 20MP sensor, a 2.35MP OLED EVF, and 5-axis image stabilization. The model is made of metal, has nice knobs, but it lacks weather sealing. Some of the best quality are the photos it produces. The JPEGS are nice and crispy and, with black and white filter, you get images that look like they were shot on film. In addition to being small, the Olympus camera has a nice autofocus, making it ideal for most situations.
