Canon has been one of the few companies that has the largest market share in the photo industry. While they have introduced some exceptional DSLRs over the years, their mirrorless models are not far behind. Flickr, which is now gaining momentum amongst the photography community, recently unveiled its 10 most used cameras, and the one that stood out the most was none other than Canon. Have a look.
Of the various models, the Canon R6 II managed to win the round, beating camera such as Sony a7 III and OM System’s EM-1 Mk II. Here are a few reasons why this model still stands out.
Incredible Image Output

The R6 II is a much-loved camera, thanks to the photos it can produce. The device offers an accurate white balance, and the skin tones are pretty fantastic, too. The dynamic range also offers tones that “touch on every level of the zone system.” For a 24MP camera, you also get enough details to work with. The JPEGs can be shared right out of the camera with ease, which is a boon for those shooting for social media. Similarly, the RAW files allow you to get the details in highlights and shadows. As for high ISO, the photos are usable up to ISO 12,800 for digital use.
A Sturdy Build

A true Canon R6 successor, one can barely tell the difference between this model and the previous model. It fits well in your hands and the design is quite comfortable. You also get a newly designed joystick, and the mode dial boasts several new features. As for the build itself, well, the image above says a lot. However, to reiterate our point, we wrote in our review, “The Canon R6 Mk II features similar weather resistance to the original model. It performed flawlessly in -20 degree wind chills with blowing snow.”
A Superb Autofocus

The R6 II is an incredible full frame option for fast focusing system. The device is not just quick but also accurate. The photograph above is an example of how it can track animals. In fact, it does an excellent job at it, along with tracking of humans, birds and vehicle. As we added in our review, “Its wide tracking, eye AF, and single focus points are great. I had a lot of fun watching the camera work its magic while tracking vehicles at a busy intersection as well as ducks in a quaint park, which was a lot of fun.” It also features intelligent autofocus system that helps both beginners and pros to get the best shots with ease.
While the R6 III has been launched, the R6 II remains an essential camera for many. If you want to purchase it, head to Amazon.
