Street photography is a challenging genre that requires a great camera, a fast lens, and the ability to blend in. While there are multiple options, only a few stand out. Here is a look at three options that stand out the most for serious shooters. Have a look.
OM System OM3

The OM3 may have a small sensor, but it is still great. It is a highly anticipated model, a successor to the Pen F, and is also priced under $2,000. A retro-style model with a great focusing system. The device can find a person of color easily in low light, and for street photography, this is the best option out there. “When you’re using the color film simulations at high ISOs and raise the exposure compensation a bit in aperture priority, you get really stunning images,” we explained. The image quality is amazing, and the JPEGs are truly stunning. The pictures have lovely colors, and the black-and-white ones are exceptional, too. If you are using the camera, it is best to shoot it as JPEG and not RAW.
Olympus Pen F

The Olympus Pen F is an icon in its own way. It offers a 20.3MP Live MOS sensor, has an 80MP high-res shot option in RAW, and it has a nice retro design. The model has nice knobs and dials, but it lacks weather sealing. The Pen F offers a nice focusing system, one that focuses easily in various lighting conditions. The JPEG showcases some exceptional results, which are ideal for those who like black and white images. “The color JPEG output is very good, but it can’t hold a candle to the black and white output. Having a film look like Ilford Delta 400 is pretty much my dream,” we added in the review. If you like film-like photos, then this is the camera to go for.
Leica Dlux 8

The Leica D-Lux 8 is an exceptional model with a fixed 24-75mm lens and incredible ergonomics. It offers a rangefinder-style design, with clicky dials, and a nice feel. The camera autofocus “works similarly to the autofocus of the Leica SL2s,” which is spectacular given how small this model is. You will rarely miss shots with the device, and the colors are pretty great. “In Capture One, at higher ISOs, I found that setting the camera profile to the Leica SL2s ProStandard and then using one of their various curves combined with a built-in film style made the images look very nice,” we added in our review. If you want a Leica, then this model is worth looking into.
