Some Nikon cameras have models that perform better than others in low light. In the DSLR series, the DF, D850, and D750 were additions that offer good performance at night. But with the Z mount now a main component of the company, we have decided to reveal the models that shine bright when it comes to high ISO performance. If you like watching a lot at night, these offerings can be helpful.
The Best Nikon Cameras for High ISO Shoots
Nikon Zf

The Nikon Zf is an exciting camera for many reasons. Not only does one get a rangefinder body, but also modern tech inside it. Packed with a 24MP sensor, the device offers multiple scene detection modes, and it is quite weather-resistant. The menu system is slow, and you can upload profiles in the camera to make your job easier. The device has Bird AF, and the focus works well in both good and low light. The Zf can also track people of color in low light. The camera offers great image quality, including clean high ISO. As we said in our review, “With Sony, the details disappear after a while. But at 51,200 ISO, the Nikon Zf is a shining example for how the industry should be doing.”
Nikon Z5 II

The Nikon Z5 II features a 24.5MP CMOS sensor, 299-point AF points, 30fps of burst rate, and 3.69M-dot OLED EVF. The camera features scene detection and AI focus, and it focuses pretty well. The Z5 II is accurate, fast to focus, and it can focus down to -10EV. There is also 7.5 stops of image stabilization, making it ideal for various us. It also comes with fantastic dynamic range, color accuracy, and the low-light high-ISO output is impressively clean. As we explained, “Nikon’s full-frame mirrorless line is starting to feel like a family of overachievers—no bad apples, just slightly different flavors of excellent. This model is quietly the most disruptive member yet.” The device offers a lot at just $1600.
Nikon Z6 III

The Nikon Z6 III features a 24.5MP partially-stacked CMOS sensor, EXPEED 7 image processor, and a 5,760,000-dot LCD with a 120fps refresh rate. The camera looks like the smaller Z8, is quite weather-resistant, and has a bright viewfinder. Those who like DSLR cameras will adore this. The scene detection is great, and the focus works well both in low light and good light. In addition, the low-light images are very clean, making them ideal for night photography. The colors are good, and you get a lot for the price tag.
