Many photographers today wish to switch to Fujifilm. Why? Well, there is so much to like: the retro, rangefinder-style camera body, image quality, compactness, and film simulation, to name a few. The X series cameras, despite housing APS-C sensors, are still liked by serious enthusiasts and professionals. So, for those who want a smaller sensor camera but with blazing focus speed, we have a few options that you can choose from. Let’s have a look.
Fujifilm X-T4

The Fujifilm X-T4 is one of the company’s best cameras on the market. Although the device may be five years old, it still offers fast autofocus for various users. The X-T4 features a 26.1MP BSI CMOS sensor, 20 fps shooting with AF, 425 autofocus points, and 11 autofocus modes, including tracking. Other features include a 3-inch 1,620,000-dot LCD, ISO up to 51200, and weather sealing. The face detection feature is excellent, the autofocus performance is quick, and the camera offers rich colours. “Throughout our time with the XT4, the autofocus system was quick and mostly consistent, even in low-light scenarios,” we said in our review.
Fujifilm X100V

The X100V is the predecessor to the popular X100VI. However, the difference between the two is that the X100V had incremental features, which the X100VI skipped out on. The device boasts a 26.1 MP APS-C X Trans sensor, 14-bit RAW files, 425 autofocus points, X-Processor Pro 4 processor, and 11fps of continuous shooting mode. Its autofocus, image quality, and weather sealing are some of its best-selling points. “The autofocus on the X100V is fantastic in both good and bad lighting,” we said about its performance. “I was able to successfully track a subject in extremely low light while moving.” In fact, the Zone and AF-C options are ideal for subjects that are moving too fast.
Fujifilm XH2s

The younger sibling of the 40MP X-H2, the X-H2s offers a smaller resolution due to its 26MP Stacked CMOS sensor. The camera is actually designed for better speed, and thus, it can shoot continuously at 40fps, while its 4K video can record at 120p. It has an X-Processor 5, and so, it can also track humans, animals, trains, and more. The camera is good for street photography, it is weather resistant, offers great autofocus performance, high ISO performance will impress you, and the image quality is also amazing. As we said in our review: “The XH2s mix of beautiful colors and fast low light autofocus make this camera most at home shooting events and portraits. But, it’s no slouch dabbling in sports or wildlife either. It has faster autofocus and better high ISO quality compared to the higher resolution X-H2.”
These three options offer different features, too, which can help you choose based on your practice. Furthermore, some of the models are older, which will help you get the device for a far lower price than other newer models. It’s a win-win for all.
