The Canon EOS R5 is a beast when it comes to Photo Editing.
In all my time using Canon cameras, I always felt Sony RAW files were better. And in some ways they still are. But the RAW files from the Canon EOS R5 are really something else. They’re fantastic! We explored it a bit in a recent episode of Pro Camera Reviews.
In This Episode
The Colors and RAW Files from the Canon EOS R5 Are Magical: Editor in Chief Chris Gampat has spent a long time testing the Canon EOS R5. And besides the colors, heâs in love with the camera and its capabilities. There are talks of overheating issues on the web, but they make no practical sense. Chris and Brett will discuss the camera. This is surely Canonâs best. The Phoblographerâs audience is mostly photographers. So weâve found that photographers care more about certain things than videographers do. And journalists will care about both. For all practicality, the Canon EOS R5 embodies the spirit of the workhorse of the DSLRs itâs succeeding. Best of all: the colors and dynamic range. Weâll dive more into this in the segment!

If youâre looking for a fun time while staying safe, we strongly recommend that you tune in for Pro Camera Reviews. Itâs a weekly show where the staff tackles a couple of issues in the Photo World. They mostly pertain to cameras and lenses, but sometimes things get a bit more serious. This is partly because we still feel that we need to be educators and leaders in this space. Additionally, we also need to be responsible. Episodes are done on Zoom and are recorded. Theyâre then shared on YouTube. We recommend subscribing to us on Youtube to keep up.
