Photography Trends That We Hate and that Need to Die

There are loads of photography trends that really just need to die.

Have you ever flipped through Instagram and found a bunch of trends you hated? Do you like the spot color trend? Or what about the senior portraits on train tracks trend? Well, in our latest episode of Pro Camera Reviews, we went on a bit about the things we hate.

Photography Trends That Need to Die: New trends in photography are a fantastic thing. Trends show that someone was creative and original enough for their new technique or unique style to become popular with the masses. Still, some trends outstay their welcome. In this segment, we will talk about a few trends that took the photography world by storm not long ago. However, due to overuse, these trends need to die so that people’s eyes can be opened to new possibilities.

If you’re looking for a fun time while staying safe, we strongly recommend that you tune in for Pro Camera Reviews. It’s a weekly show where the staff tackles a couple of issues in the Photo World. They mostly pertain to cameras and lenses, but sometimes things get a bit more serious. This is partly because we still feel that we need to be educators and leaders in this space. Additionally, we also need to be responsible. Episodes are done on Zoom and are recorded. They’re then shared on YouTube. We recommend that you subscribe to us on Youtube to keep up.
