Sunday’s Episode was a blast! Lots of great tech talk amongst the crew. Chris spent time showing how to improve the autofocus on your camera with just a small, simple tweak. Most participants said they’d never seen it done before. We also discussed how AI is both hurting and helping photography. Is it really considered cheating? And how can photographers adapt to ensure that they keep producing and getting hired? And for the photographer who still wants to get ahead in the editing world, we talked about the newest changes to Capture One Pro. They’re fantastic, and an even bigger reason why we all left Lightroom. Check it out!

In This Episode

  • Keeping Your Autofocus Blazing Fast: Chris will demonstrate how he cleans the contacts of his lenses and cameras to keep the autofocus blazing.
  • Will AI Improve or Harm Photography?: Sony recently announced two new sensors that have AI Processors embedded in them. The new sensors can quickly and effectively handle machine learning tasks and can identify different species of animals with no human input. Sony has said it’s early days for the tech, but they believe they can build upon it quickly. Sony, it seems, is going all-in on AI tech, which will more than likely work its way into their mainstream cameras. But, will this enhance or hinder photography and photographers?
  • The New Capture One: We’ll go over a lot of the new features and how it’s ahead of Lightroom in many ways, but also behind in others.

On Sunday, May 31st’s Episode:

  • How We Do High ISO Testing: The staff will talk about how they’re making their tests stand out from all the rest.
  • Getting the Right Camera for You: Whether it’s a DSLR or Mirrorless, a Micro Four Thirds, APS-C or Full-Frame camera. Are the lenses you need available for that camera. There is more to a camera than the number of megapixels that are crammed into the sensor.
  • Adobe’s Massive Cloud Problem: Adobe recently had a major issue where their servers weren’t allowing photographers to work. We’re going to discuss the ins and out of this.
