The Parrot ANAFI FPV drone will make you feel like you’re soaring through the skies.
Over the last few years, drones have become increasingly popular in not only the videography world but in the photography world as well. Small drones enable us to get to places that would otherwise be impossible to reach, and they let us see the world from a unique point of view. Drone fans will be pleased to learn Parrot has just announced a new drone that can put you in the cockpit via their new Cockpitglasses. This unique take on drones will make you feel more immersed in your flight than ever before.
The Parrot ANAFI FPV drone promises to be ultra-portable, fast, nimble, and easy to use. With photographers looking to drones to be able to capture stunning landscape images from the skies and B-Roll for YouTube channels, those characteristics and traits should serve you well. The Parrot ANAFI FPV drone weighs just 0.69lbs, and it can fly at a top speed of 34mph horizontal and 9mph vertical. With a maximum range of 2.5 miles with the parrot Skycontroller 3, users can fly for up to 26 minutes per charge.
The camera onboard the Parrot ANAFI FPV drone is capable of recording 4K Cinema (4096×2160 24fps), 4K UHD (3840×2160 24/25/30fps), FHD (1920×1080 24/25/30/48/50/60fps), HD (1280×720 48/50/60fps), and HFOV video: 69°. The maximum sampling rate is capped at 100Mbps. The camera is attached to a 180-degree tilt gimbal and features 3 axis image stabilization, a 21 Megapixel sensor, and a 26mm lens with a maximum aperture of f2.4. The camera can capture JPEG and DNG files, and the photo modes (single, burst, bracketing, timer, and multiple panorama modes) should make it easy to nail your shots.
There is a maximum shutter speed of 1/10000s, and the native ISO range is from 100 to 3200. Manual settings such as shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and exposure compensation, and advanced features like histograms and highlight exposure assistance overlays are fully customizable and can easily be displayed in the Cockpitglasses. All in all, it sounds like quite the capable camera.
The stand out feature of the Parrot ANAFI FPV drone is the ability to virtually place yourself in the cockpit. With the Cockpitglasses, you can get a first-person view of your flight. You can see exactly where you are and what you’re doing without having to use your phone. Of course, if you wish to use your phone, you can download the app and see exactly what the camera on the drone sees. The backpack has been designed to keep all of the gear safe, and it can be used as a launchpad as well. There’s a range of safety features built-in, like geofencing so that flights can be safer, and there is a smart return to home mode too.
The Parrot ANAFI FPC Drone all-in-one-pack comes with the drone, a battery, the Skycontroller 3, the Cockpitglasses, a 16gb memory card, a USB-C cable, the backpack, and an extra set of propellers. It should be available in early September, and it will be priced at $799. Are you looking forward to the Parrot ANAFI FPV drone? Let us know in the comment section below.
