The Creative Cloud goes to school!
This morning Adobe announced the new availability of their Creative Cloud to K-12 students, bringing the power of Photoshop, Lightroom, and the other Creative Cloud applications to youth across the country. This new program will bring the Creative Cloud single sign-on to students, allowing them to use CC applications on school devices, as well as personal devices, making this a really great opportunity for creative and artistic students of all ages. What’s more, this new K-12 student program will bring with it a dramatic cost cut for these students.
Starting May 15, Adobe says that the full suite of Creative Cloud applications will be available for K-12 students at an incredible cost of just $5 per student per year. This is a great deal! Putting Adobe’s class-leading creative applications into the hands of our developing youth provides them with creative tools to further their education and develop skills that will help them get ahead in the economy of tomorrow.
To put that in perspective, the Photography Plan many of you are probably already familiar with is available for $9.99 per user, per month, and only includes Photoshop and Lightroom. This new plan for students/teachers of K-12 is available for just $5, and that includes access to the entire suite of applications for the entire year. This is quite a deal, one that K-12 students looking to take advantage of should really cherish.
In addition to the new Creative Cloud access plan, Adobe has also joined forces with Edcamp, an organization that works to support and empower educators. The goal of the partnership is to share with educators projects and courses designed to promote creative problem-solving in the classroom. Adobe will be setting up hands-on professional development workshops with these teachers starting next year.
If you are a student or a teacher in K-12 who is interested in more information about this new program from Adobe, you can get all of the details on their website.
