Oberwerth Adds “George” to Its Line of Casual Camera Bags

Photographers looking for a casual and relaxed camera bag may want to consider Oberwerth’s latest offering.

Following the Richard and William messenger-style camera bags, and the colorful Harry & Sally collection, German brand Oberwerth is back with a new addition to its casual camera bags. Say hello to George, a compact and relaxed camera bag that comes with both functionality and style.

Unlike the other Oberwerth releases, George comes in a vertical or upright format which is supposedly based on the need to grab a camera out of the bag with speed and ease. Whether it’s for a DSLR like a Canon EOS or Nikon D800, or a compact mirrorless camera like the Leica SL, this bag promises to be compact yet spacious enough to fit a camera with the lens attached in an upright position.

Made from a full grain, tumbled, velvety-soft cowhide, the George camera bag sports an elegant, casual design with a form that allows maximum comfort even when packed. The leather flap reveals a front pocket for storing batteries, memory cards, a small notebook, or smartphone. The sides of the bag are padded to ensure that your camera and lens are protected from shocks and impacts. An extra inner pad for adjusting the inner layout is also provided, and can be attached with velcro.

This camera bag comes with a close-meshed, cut-resistant cotton shoulder strap, with a soft leather shoulder pad that adapts ergonomically to the shape of the body. These ensure comfort even when you’re lugging around a heavy camera.

Think this is the right camera bag for your precious gear? The new George camera bag is now available in black and dark brown and is priced at $269. Check out the Oberworth online shop to learn more, see more packing samples, or grab this new camera bag.
