JOBY adds new GorillaPod Mobile Rig into the slew of rigs for smartphone videographers to choose from.

JOBY, the makers of the original GorillaPod flexible tripod, introduced its new GorillaPod Mobile Rig today to help you create pro-grade videos with your smartphone. This new tripod accessory offers the same flexibility and versatility of the original GorillaPod, with the added functionality of mounting additional devices for your movie-making needs.
Built on the ball and socket design of the GorillaPod, the new GorillaPod Mobile Rig has the flexible tripod legs we’re familiar with, which can be used as a handle, a standard tripod, or wrapped around poles and frames. It also features a secure mount for any smartphone, plus two 6-socket arms for attaching the standard ¼”-20 tripod connections or cold shoe mounts. The smartphone mount itself has an additional cold shoe mount and can be tilted to landscape or portrait orientation. With this setup, you can use up to three accessory devices such as microphones, lights, and even a GoPro camera to make your mobile movies.
