Camera bag maker Lowepro has just announced a flood of updates to their Nova and Flipside series of bags, with a total of eight new bags being announced. Lowepro has long been a favorite of photographers thanks to their wide variety of bag options that fit the needs of every photographer, along with good materials and excellent features, and these Nova and Flipside updates continue in that tradition.
Lowepro’s Nova series bags will see updates to all four models, starting with the $50 Nova 140AW II, capable of carrying a compact DSLR with lens and accessories (flash, cables, chargers, etc), up to the $80 Nova 180 AW II, which can hold a DSLR with lens attached and up to four additional lenses as well as accessories. The entire Nova lineup will feature full padding, an “All Weather” cover, waterproof zipper, and the usual array of dividers you can arrange to your heart’s content to hold your gear in a way that makes sense to you.
The new Nova series bags will also have reinforced handles, removable padded straps, and mesh side pockets for access to smaller items you may need to grab quickly. Additionally, Lowepro also says the new bags feature an upgrade to the fabric and trim.
On the Flipside series, the four new models will start with the $100 Flipside 200 AW II, which will be able to carry a tablet and camera with 70-200mm lens, tripod, and extra lenses. The most expensive unit in the Flipside series will be the Flipside 500 AW II at $180. This bag will be able to carry a 10-inch tablet, 15-inch laptop, DSLR with grip with up to a 400mm mounted lens (500mm not mounted), tripod and up to six additional lenses.
Lowepro has also added gear attachment points all over the Flipside series bags to make attaching extra gear and peripherals easier than ever. As well, the bag’s CradleFit compartments are designed to fit your devices snugly, providing excellent protection and preventing unnecessary jostling and movement while you carry your gear from place to place.
The new Nova and Flipside series bags will be available starting later this week, July 28th 2017, at retailers across the country and online. You can get more information about the bags as well as information about ordering directly from Lowepro over on their websites for the Nova and Flipside lines.
