Nissin is one of the most well-known third-party Speedlight brands and their Air wireless system is a great option for photographers looking to control their lighting wirelessly. The system originally launched for Canon and Nikon, then Nissin added Sony, and now they have announced the availability of the system for Fujifilm and Micro Four Thirds.
This is especially great news for Fujifilm photographers as lighting options for that system have been less than ideal. But with the Nissin Air system Fujifilm, shooters can now enjoy a high-quality wireless Speedlight system with their X-Series cameras.

The control unit, Nissin’s Air 1 Commander, features 8 user selectable channels in case of interference. It also supports up to 3 flash groups in an A, B, C format. The unit will also transmit TTL information as well as manual flash power adjustments. This is the big zinger for Fujifilm shooters specifically as no other wireless system for the Fuji’s to this point could transmit TTL data to my knowledge.
The Air 1 Commander for the Fuji system will also trigger the Nissin I60A, giving Fujifilm shooters two great wireless Speedlight options.
In terms of pricing, the Nissin Di700A Speedlight for both Fujifilm and Micro Four Thirds will retail for $259 on its own, while the Air 1 Commander will retail for $89. You will also be able to purchase them both in a kit, and that will retail for $299.
No availability was included in the announcement, but you can likely expect to find these on Amazon in the near future. We will keep and eye out and update you when they become available if it is not announced before then.
