Vancouver BC based photographer João Guedes specializes is shooting portraits and lifestyle imagery, but his personal side-project, The Diaries, is a beautiful blend of lifestyle, boudoir, and cinematography that brings you into the lives of these women. It is an intimate project; one that combines all of Guedes’ experience with posing, lighting, and layering to create these beautifully crafted images.
Guedes focuses each shoot on a new woman, in a new location, in places all over the world as he travels. This particular shoot, featuring a young woman named Annaliese, features her in a variety of poses throughout a worn rustic apartment. The soft highlights and warmth gives the shoot a feeling that is as intimate as the content itself.
