Editing RAW Files in Lightroom Mobile Is Easier Than You Think

Lightroom Mobile is one of those tools that many photographers still stick their nose up at when it comes up in conversation. The truth is though that while the initial and a few subsequent releases were limiting and offered so-so performance, Adobe has worked hard to get the mobile processing suite to a good place and more photographers are starting to take notice.

I recently started culling and doing basic edits on my iPad Mini 4 using Lightroom Mobile as a means to get away from my desk, and while my expectations were not high at all when I first installed it, I was quickly very impressed and realized how much I could actually get done from my porch, or couch, or wherever. It was definitely one of those ‘How come I have never done this before’ moments. That said, if you are not the most tech savvy person, you may be somewhat hesitant to try and get it figured out. Today we have a killer video for you that will help you get it all sorted in no time at all.

Transferring RAW Files Through the SD-to-Lighting Adapter is just One way to get your files onto your iPad

Elia Locardi has made a name for himself traveling the world and producing beautiful landscape and travel imagery as he goes. In this video tutorial he takes us through the entire process of shooting images and processing them in RAW on Adobe Lightroom Mobile right there on location.

Now this is even more than I do normally, I just import them to my computer at home, and sync to my iPad. But it is a great walk-through and will help you get it all figured out so you too can start feeling the benefits of less time at your desk while you enjoy working on images from the couch, porch, coffee shop, or wherever your travels take you.
