Cub and Co isn’t a large as Tap and Dye or Holdfast Gear, but they’ve created some very interesting and beautiful products over the years. They’re probably best known for their Shooter Shoulder strap, and they very quietly announced their new Shooter Camera Bag: which is a messenger bag style camera carrier that they’re calling their personal take on the Every Day Camera bag.
It’s got removable dividers so that you can put a DSLR and lenses in there or you can stuff two mirrorless cameras and lenses, and even a medium format SLR camera and lenses. To protect all that gear you’ve got water repellent waxed canvas, vegetable tanned leather accents, a suede interior, leather straps on the bag, etc.
Exterior dimensions are 13″ x 7″ x 7″ while the Interior dimensions are 12″ x 6″ x 6″. You can probably squish a laptop in there, but it may be best to instead work with an iPad of some sort.
Now here’s the part you may consider to be kind of hipster: it’s all made by one craftsman by hand in the USA. While some of you may call it hipster, I’d very much argue that it’s promoting fair wages for American workers. As such, I’d completely justify the $350.00 price point considering one person is making each bag.
