A brand new Kickstarter called Pulse is looking to turn your smartphone into a remote control for your camera. It’s promising full manual control, shutter release control, and overall complete control of exposure through your camera’s USB port.
To do this, a little dongle rests in the hot shoe of your camera and plugs into the USB port. After that, you connect it to your phone using Bluetooth. When you shoot, you’ll get a full image preview on your phone. But before you do that, you can dial in exact exposure numbers.
Pulse is claiming full compatibility with Canon and Nikon DSLR cameras and despite saying in one section that it also works with mirrorless cameras, we all know that Canikon (you’ve all heard that phrase) aren’t the most popular when it comes to the mirrorless world.
Their intro video is after the jump.
