Hey folks,
As the site continues to evolve and April is wrapping up, we’re moving from the Analog/film medium over to featuring/interviewing/working with landscape and adventure photography in the month of May. But we’re not looking for any ordinary landscapes or adventure work, we want to see only your very best. Alternatively, we can probably work with you if you pitch a tutorial of some sort related to landscape photography or adventure photography. We’re mostly interested in photo projects for the adventure genre, but for landscapes we just want our jaws to drop when looking at your images.
Overall though, we want to work with photographers. Even though weâre a site that loves gear, weâve never thought that it was paramount and we want to work with photographers that put their creative vision and business savvy first. As always, that doesnât mean that we wonât work with enthusiasts though.
So how do you pitch it us?
â Shoot us an email at editors[at]thephoblographer[dot]com.
â Tell us about yourself as a photographer. We want to know the who, what, when, where, how and why. Emails not explaining these things will most likely be sent to the wayside.
â Show us websites of yours.
â Tell us why the readers want to see your work., or why your project is really cool.
Julius and I will review all of your submissions, talk it over, and get back to you based on the volume of emails. Donât let this discourage you, weâre both very cool cats; just busy. And if you have a photo that makes great use of lighting, submit it for our Creating the Photograph series. This series is all about artificial lighting and pretty much nothing else; so it needs to be crafty.
Thanks folks!
Sincerely,
Chris Gampat
