We you get a new camera or just step up to an interchangeable lens one, you need to realize that there is a whole bunch of care and work that needs to go into it. But the camera isn’t the only thing that needs maintenance–but also the lens. For those folks, Canon has recently released a video showing you how to care for your camera and lens as well as listing all of the necessary things to check. Indeed, when you get a DSLR or a mirrorless camera, a lot can go wrong. For example, you can get the sensor dirty and that will require cleaning. Sometimes you can’t always clean it yourself either. When I was a paparazzo, I was often getting cleaning jobs done.
Then there are other things that need maintenance like your lens contacts. Canon recommends pretty much the same process that we do.
The video is after the jump.
