Adobe is riding on a high note with 1,844,000 Creative Cloud subscribers. The imaging software company announced the astounding success of its new subscription-based model that helped Adobe achieve a revenue stream of $1 billion in the company’s first quarter financial report for 2014.
According to Adobe, the pool of CC users has increased by 22%, or 405,000 subscribers, since quarter four of last year. The sudden bump up in subscribers likely has something to do with the recent Photoshop Photography Program—a $10/month Creative Cloud deal that nets users Photoshop CC and a free copy of Lightroom 5.0—which has received continuous extensions until the end of this month.
According to the Investors, 96% of Creative Cloud users are on rolling annual plans rather than going on a month-by-month basis. Plus 70% of subscribers are getting the full Creative Cloud, as opposed to just Photoshop CC and other single applications.
