We tested the Phottix Mitros and loved it sans some battery issues when using it for a long time, but today’s announcement is an even more spectacular and exciting one. Phottix has created the Mitros+–which is fully radio TTL capable and significantly under the prices of Quantums and Cheetah Stands. Its full and proper name is the Mitros+ TTL Transceiver Flash. The functionality is very similar to the Canon 600EX RT in that the flash can act as a slave and commander without the use of infrared triggering–and instead use radio transmission.
But the even better part is that if you own Phottix Odins, you already have a controller. The Odin transmitter can control this flash with full TTL triggering. The Odins are our choice for the best TTL Triggering instruments out there.
No official word on pricing yet, but we expect them to be more affordable than first party brands.
More photos and tech specs are after the jump.
