Today, Canon is announcing their brand new initiative called, “The Power to Connect.” While we basically got hints of it when the Powershot N was released around CES, they’re adding wifi connectivity to all their point and shoots. Yesterday, we saw a bunch of them: including the company’s new G16, S120, SX170 IS, and the SX510 HS. At their core, they all share wifi connectivity and a couple of minor spec bumps that one can typically expect from Canon with each new iteration of their cameras. With that said, these cameras have a new background defocus mode, star modes that include one for timelapse shooters, and all utilize Canon Image Gateway to transfer images and movies to a computer or iOS/Android device.
