For the Insta-addicts out there that love to hold their iPhones like a point and shoot, you’ll be happy to know that the popular app got a feature that it should have had for a while now: landscape support. When the phone is flipped into a landscape orientation vs a portrait orientation, it will automatically flip the icons for you. However, it will still render your images as a square, so that won’t really affect your images and composition at all.
Another change: you can now shoot videos using your front facing camera–which means that your selfies can now be animated.
Instagram 4.02 is available for download from the App Store now. At the moment, the Android app hasn’t received the update.
