The news giant is hiring a Photo Editor for its headquarters in Atlanta. This news comes two years after it fired all of its photojournalists in favor of the iReport users–a move recently done by the Chicago Sun Times.
You will be responsible for images across CNN’s platforms: CNN.com, smartphones, and tablets. You will need either a four-year degree in journalism or photography or equivalent work experience in photojournalism. You’ll also need to have a year’s worth of experience as a photo editor in a medium to large size news outlet. The details of the job are listed here. It’s time to start polishing that resume and updating that LinkedIn profile photo. Best of luck to you, you’ll probably have to deal with picketing creatives.
